WASHINGTON — Police arrested a 21-year-old wanted in a gang-related stabbing in Fairfax County last week.

Early Monday morning, police arrested 21-year-old Franklyn Isaac Cruz Flores, a Chantilly, Virginia, resident, after police say he was involved in a gang fight that ended in one man’s stabbing.

Around 11:30 p.m. on July 20, police responded to the 14600 block of Pan Am Drive in Chantilly for the stabbing. The victim was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening-injuries.

Police investigated the stabbing and named Flores as a suspect.

Around 1:30 a.m. Monday, an officer noticed the driver of a van acting suspiciously on George Carter Way near Lee Road. The officer stopped the van, which Flores was driving.

Police arrested Flores and charged him with abduction, malicious wounding and gang participation.

The exact age of the victim is not yet known, but police say he is likely between 18 and 20 years old. Since the stabbing, his condition has improved and his injuries are no longer life-threatening, police said.

It is not yet clear what led to the stabbing, and police say they do not have any additional suspects at this time.
