WOODSTOCK — The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Woodstock man on Friday on charges relating to sexual offenses with a 14-year-old girl.

Andrew Bradley Shoemaker, 19, has been accused of performing sexual acts on a 14-year-old girl, and coordinating one of these acts through text message. He has been charged with proposing sex acts to a child, carnal knowledge of a child and sexual offense with a minor by computer.

He is also one of four indicted on charges relating to the January attempted armed robbery of Ben’s Diner in Woodstock. Shoemaker had been bonded on his own recognizance on three felony charges since February. His next court date relating to these charges is on Wednesday in Shenandoah County Circuit Court.

In a separate case, Shoemaker has been charged with two counts of marijuana distribution stemming from a year-long investigation conducted by the Sheriff’s Office that involved drugs being sold to teens. He was arrested in March on those charges but was released in April on $2,500 secured bond. His next court date relating to the drug charges is on June 6 in Shenandoah County Circuit Court.

Shoemaker is being held without bond on the child sex offense charges at Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Regional Jail. The next court date will be on Thursday in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
